# Your vUSDG

Your shares represent a changing portion of the portfolio's value.

Deposit **USDG** and receive **vUSDG**, the token representing your share of the Viridus portfolio. The portfolio holds USDG, stock tokens, liquidity positions and earned trading fees.

Your vUSDG balance does not automatically grow as trading fees arrive. Instead, gains and losses change **the value of each share**.

For example, 100 vUSDG worth 1 USDG per share represents 100 USDG. If the share price rises to 1.05, those same shares represent 105 USDG. If it falls to 0.95, they represent 95 USDG. These are fictional values; the exchange rate is not fixed at one-to-one.

## Portfolio value and available cash

A share's reported value includes assets that may need to be sold before you can withdraw. Their sale price and transaction costs affect how much USDG becomes available.

That means a valuable portfolio can still have limited cash for immediate withdrawals. Withdrawing may require waiting in a queue.
